Learning through Knowledge and Technology

When we think of learning, we must first look at how learning occurs. Learning starts at an adolescence age and the principles of learning firsts starts with a child’s parents before moving into an educational structured system. Today, we have so many different types of applications and factors that make education effective. By introducing students to computers at an early stage, we fuse a different outlook on learning using the advancement of technology.

The Misconception about Distance Education

When we look at ways to advance in higher education, we know that a lot of colleges and universities are offering varying fields in which a person can obtain a degree online. We also see that online opportunities are becoming one of the most popular options of today. When we picture these facts, what experiences do you think are suitable to encourage learning of the intended topic and which previous experiences can be utilized?

During my undergrad work at The University of West Florida, there were very few on line courses taught, prior to 2001. However, in 2011 UWF’s President, facing challenging recent budget issues, is actively re designing how they teach, in order to increase the number of students enrolled and keep costs down to the university. On Line courses are an effective means to increase enrollment, while keeping costs at a minimum to the university.
